Typology: Sweet and lively red wine.
Production Area: In Piedmont, exclusively in the Albugnano, Castelnuovo D. Bosco, Passerano, Marmorito, Pino D'Asti Berzano and Moncucco district.
Soil: Calcareous clayish-hilly ground.
Grapes: Malvasia di Schierano
Harvest: Mid-September.
Alcohol: 5.5% Vol.
Service temperature: 6°C - 8°C
Yield per hectare: 7,000 kilos of grapes.
Bottles produced: 13,000
Vinification: Destemming and crushing of the grapes, cryomaceration in steel at 4°C for 24 hours, pressing, foam intake, filtrations, cold stabilization, bottling and confection.
Maturation: 4 months in steel at 0°C
Aging: One month in glass bottle before sale.
Colour: Rosso cerasuolo scarico brillante.
Aroma: Aromatic, soft, floral, fruity, with rose notes, raspberry, wisteria and berries.
Flavour: Pleasantly sweet, fresh, armonic, with a good persistence.
Food Matches: Sweets and base-fruit desserts; even with pastries and fruit cocktail.
Conservation: In the dark, in a lay-down bottle at 10°C - 12°C with 75% of humidity.
Annotations: Express its characteristics in the first year. Anyway, pleasantly for three years.
